We're back on the water!
As we come to the end of the second lockdown, I wanted to give you an update on our plans for reopening FRBC. First and foremost I want to say a massive thank you to everyone for bearing with us whilst we’ve been off the water and of course to the team for keeping the show on the road so brilliantly for the last four weeks. Before this lockdown we’d also had a huge collective effort from everyone at FRBC to ensure we continued to operate in a Covid-secure environment. I’m extremely grateful to you all for following the new processes on site but I would also urge everyone not to take their eye off the ball now we are opening up again. We’re not back to normal times as there is still a public health emergency that we’re all trying to manage and we’ll be successful in this by following the processes when on site.
Adult Coached Sessions and Recreational Sessions
These will begin again on Saturday 5th December and be held at the same times as they were before. To book your place on a coached session please use the usual Google Sheet link.
To book out a boat for a recreational session, please head to the website as before. If you have any trouble logging in please contact [email protected].
Online Sessions Continuing!
I’m excited to say that, as well as the adult water sessions, we will also be continuing with the online circuits and yoga sessions! We appreciate that some people aren’t able to return to the club yet and so hopefully this can offer you a way to remain connected with FRBC . To sign up just use the usual Google Sheet link.
Gym Bookings
We will be back to having two people book to use the gym in one hour slots from Monday 7th December. This can be done via the members section of the website and if you have any troubles logging in please contact [email protected].
Changing Rooms
These are still only accessible in an emergency e.g. following a capsize. Please arrive to the sessions ready to row and prepared to change out of your kit once back home. The disabled toilet is still accessible when on site and lockers for valuables in the main corridor are all available.
Christmas Hours
Finally, I just wanted to give you the heads up that our final coached sessions for 2020 will be held on Wednesday 23rd December, after which time Georgia will be taking a well-earned break! The coached sessions will then resume on Monday 4th January.
Thanks once again to everyone for your patience and support through this challenging time. Fingers crossed for some great sessions before Christmas, a much smoother ride through 2021 and I’m looking forward to seeing you all at our virtual Christmas do on the 16th December!
