Plan B Covid Rules and FRBC

No doubt everyone will have now heard that the Government has brought in further restrictions in response to the spread of the Omicron Covid variant.  We have heard from British Rowing that they don’t believe this currently affects their guidance to rowing clubs but, as ever, our absolute number one priority is the safety of everyone at FRBC and so we will now be encouraging the following for all members:

1) Please complete a lateral flow test before coming down to FRBC and especially if you feel any of the Covid-related symptoms (fever, new continuous cough, loss of taste or smell).  FREE lateral flow tests can be ordered here and delivered to your home within two days Order coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid lateral flow tests - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) 

2) We will now encourage members not to congregate in the club room either before or after a session.  We are asking everyone, where possible, to arrive ready to row for the session and leave straight afterwards

3) If you are comfortable wearing a face covering in communal areas, we would encourage you to do so

We will of course keep monitoring the situation and let you know via all of the usual channels if we need to bring in any further changes between now and Christmas.
