FRBC row to the international space station!
As we emerge from the life changing world that the Covid-19 pandemic brought upon us, we are entering into another world to host our first Ergo-Galactic Sponsored Charity event to raise money to support Fulham Reach Boat Club's vital project work to improve lives through rowing.
The Mission: to take on an “out of this world” experience in the name of Fulham Reach Boat Club and to challenge yourself to go the extra kilometre
When: Saturday 24th July 2021 – 9am – 2pm
Where: FRBC mission control
How: Adults: Working in teams of 3, to travel 54km per team (18km each) to row to the International Space Station and back in 5 hours, Juniors: Working as a team to cover 216km of the total distance. Each challenger to row 500m, then swap with a team member.
Purpose: To set an ergo-galactic fitness goal, to do a “live” club event altogether at last (juniors, adults, families) and to raise much need charitable funds to support FRBC’s greater mission of “Rowing for All”
Target: For each challenger to get sponsored £10 for every 1000 metre rowed– www.justgiving.com/campaign/FRBC-Charity-Erg-Marathon2021
