FRBC 1st Annual Dinner Review
This October we celebrated FRBC’s 1st Anniversary with an Inaugural Club Dinner held in the Boat Bay.
Fairy lights and balloons galore the boat bay was transformed in to a magical party venue, and club members, learn to rowers, and friends of the club came dressed to impress in their black tie and blazers to help celebrate a very special opening year for FRBC. We were lucky to be joined by our guest of honour, triple World Champion and Olympic Bronze Medallist, Phelan Hill, who delivered a captivating and all-encompassing speech on the importance of developing rowing at grass roots level, as well as a providing an insight in to his international experience with the anticipation of the 2016 Olympics in Rio being just on the horizon. The evening was topped off with a wonderful feast of food and a fantastic live band which got everyone dancing from start to finish! It was a hugely fun and memorable occasion, and we look forward to a repeat of the event in FRBC’s 2nd year!
