Fours Head Weekender Race Report
A massive congratulations to all Fulham Reach crews who took part in the challenging Fours Head weekend - 2 Junior Boats and 7 Vets Boats!
Despite the tough conditions and fierce competition on the Championship Course, our crews put in fantastic performances, demonstrating skill, grit, and the incredible spirit of FRBC. Well done to everyone who trained hard and represented the club so brilliantly.
A First Race to Remember!
We loved hearing from Lukas Mach (Masters D 4x), who shared his fantastic experience:
Veteran Fours Head was my first rowing race, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The support from everyone at the club was fantastic. Huge thanks to my crew Lydia, Per and Pedro for having me along for the ride, and to all our coaches for preparing us so well. I can’t wait to race again in FRBC colours!
Veterans Open Masters B 4x: Control Under Pressure
A special commendation goes to the Veterans Open Masters B 4x crew of Leo, Evgeny, Tom, and Yuri! They stayed composed through some very testing moments. Strong wind and choppy water pushed them right up against a rival boat, but their solid technique and clear calls kept them moving straight. That control under pressure brought them home as the fastest crew from our club - a truly excellent display of racing maturity!
Women's Masters D Quad Show True Grit
The Women's Master D Quad (Kate, Jo, Linnea, Roxana) also had an eventful race! Thanks to Roxana for steering the perfect racing line, they quickly overtook Henley. Despite a mid-race clash near Hammersmith Bridge that brought them to a brief standstill, they quickly recovered and rowed a great final stretch. They finished a very respectable 7th out of 12 and were happy with their resilient result!
Your dedication continues to raise the profile of FRBC!
