Electric Boat & Water Quality Testing Open Day - 26th Nov
Join us to explore the future of sustainable boating and waterway health at our Electric Boat & Water Testing Open Day
This free event is a great opportunity to learn about our hands-on experience using electric boats for coaching and community activities. You’ll have the chance to try out both the Momentum M10 and Torqeedo Cruise 6 electric engines, fitted on our tideway-style coaching boats. Our team will be on hand to share insights into performance, handling, and sustainability benefits compared with traditional petrol engines.
When: Wednesday 26th November
Time: 13:30 – 16:00
Location: Fulham Reach Boat Club, Unit A, Distillery Wharf, Chancellors Road, London W6 9GX
We’ll also be showcasing our new emergency charging station, now available to the wider community. This addition ensures that electric boat users have reliable access to power when they need it most, supporting the growing shift towards clean and quiet river transport.
In addition to the boating demonstrations, you can learn more about our weekly E. coli water quality testing programme. We’ll explain how we collect and analyse samples, what the data tells us about the health of our local waterway, and how you can access this data openly to stay informed about environmental conditions on the Thames.
Whether you’re a rower, coach, environmental enthusiast, or simply curious about electric propulsion, this open day promises a blend of practical learning and river-based discovery.
Thanks to Electic Outboard, British Rowing, River Action, Port of London Authority and Sport England for supporting and promoting this event.
